Terraco's products have, since the company's founding, always been produced using environmentally friendly components and production methods - in line with this all the company's products are water based and the company has never produced solvent-based materials.

Terraco has constantly pushed the boundaries in environmentally friendly finishing materials - spearheading new technology and production techniques. The company takes pride in its ecological image and always aims to be the first to make new advances in ecological products available to the end user.

With growing awareness amongst customers and applicators of the potentially harmful effects of some of the trace components present in most interior coatings (read more: Sick Building Syndrome) there is an increased demand that coating producers provide truly ecological products containing no volatile organic compounds (read more: VOCs) or formaldehyde (read more: formaldehyde). Governmental regulations concerning the issue have come to reflect this awareness - and restrictions on such compounds in coatings have as a result become more rigorous.

In essence what Terraco has done is to combine the most stringent environmental guidelines for interior coatings in the world today and has developed a range of products which fully complies with them all.

This new environmental range has been coined the EcoLife® range.
