Terralite Granite

A medium-high build spray applied granite effect coating suitable for general masonry and Terraco EIFS.

Product Overview

Granite has remained one of the most popular building materials throughout the ages and is synonymous with luxury and fine living. Similarly Terralite Granite is a granite effect exterior coating creating an aesthetically pleasing finish that is very hard wearing. Based on unique pure acrylic polymers, mineral aggregates, and incorporating larger flecks to replicate natural granite, this product is exceptionally popular for use on buildings where the podium uses real granite, but the higher elevations are coated with Terralite Granite to complement the podium level.

Properties

• Excellent impact and abrasion resistance.
• Outstanding flexibility properties.
• Highly water and weather resistant.
• A washable and abrasion resistant surface.
• Algae and fungi resistant.
• Vapour permeable allowing substrate to breathe. (ASTM E96)
• Water based and environmentally friendly.

Areas Of Use

• Used to simulate natural granite.
• Designed for interior and exterior use.
• Suitable for application to concrete, cement rendering, lightweight concrete, cement fibre boards, Sprayplaster as well as gypsum dry walls and chipboard.
• Ideally suited to high-rise buildings, hospitals and medical centres and more.
• Ideal for Terraco EIFS.

Application Method

Prepare substrate by removing all loose and friable matter. Stop and fill where necessary. Ensure that the surface is clean, dry and sound.

New Work
Roller apply one coat of Terraco P Primer Pigmented and allow to cure. Roller apply one coat of Terraco Terralite Undercoat and allow to cure. Spray apply Terraco Terralite Granite to colour and texture as per approved architectural sample.

Redecoration
Protect all adjacent areas not to be covered. All cracks, chips, voids and damages should be repaired with an appropriate filler. Prepare by removing all loose and flaking paint, grease, dirt and grime. Spot prime exposed areas appropriately. Proceed as for new work.
