Product Overview

Tex Primer is a highly developed product in liquid form, which is absorbed deeply into the substrate of cementitious materials, plasters and limes. It binds the substrate and the surface, to give a solid base for decorative finishing coats, such as Terraco Textured Coatings, paints and thin-layer mortars. It is supplied as white or tinted as per finish colour. Tex Primer is available in 3.6ltr & 18ltr plastic pail.

It is recommended that Terraco Tex Primer be used prior to the application of all decorative finishes.

Application Method

Surface Preparation 

Ensure all dust, dirt, and foreign matter are thoroughly scraped and brushed off. Surfaces must be free from salts, oil, grease, and ridges. Protect surrounding areas from unintended coverage. Repair any cracks, chips, voids, or surface damage using a suitable repair compound from the Terraco range.

Application 

Stir Terraco Tex Primer thoroughly until a uniform, homogenous liquid is achieved. Apply generously and evenly using a brush, roller, or appropriate spray equipment. Allow the primer to dry completely. Depending on the surface condition, an additional coat may be required.
For best results, apply the finishing coat as soon as possible after the primer has dried to ensure optimal adhesion.
