Handycoat EZ-Skim is a ready-to-use interior filler and board skimming compound for most building surfaces, including sand / cement render and gypsum board. It gives a high quality, even surface for painting. Handycoat EZ-Skim is specially manufactured for the painter to repair and touch up surfaces, both old and new, prior to painting.

Handycoat EZ-Skim is made from a selected blend of acrylic polymers and precisely graded fillers. It is:

Areas Of Use

When dry, Handycoat EZ-Skim bonds extremely well to cementitious materials, gypsum, gypsum boards, sprayplasters, wood, galvanised steel lathings and all common building surfaces. Handycoat EZ-Skim is designed for skimming gypsum board, sand/cement render, concrete panels and lightweight concrete surfaces.

Application Method

Surface Preparation

New surfaces: Ensure that all dust, dirt and foreign matter are scraped and brushed away.  Also ensure the surfaces are free from salts, oil, grease and ridges.  Protect all adjacent surfaces not to be covered.

Old surfaces: Before applying to old surfaces, ensure the substrate is firm.  First wash down the surface with a sugar soap solution, rinse and allow to dry before application.

Application:

Apply the filler in a thin even layer.  If a thick coat is necessary, apply several thin layers, allowing to dry between layers. Lightly sand the final surface before painting, within 24 hour of application.

Clean tools and equipment with water after use.
