Sprayplaster Systems

For Internal walls and ceilings

Terraco with its Sprayplaster™ System is a market leader in spray-applied surface preparation compounds.

Terraco’s revolutionary Sprayplaster™ system provides customers with a host of long-term savings in comparison to traditional plastering techniques. It is the ideal solution for large fast-track projects or indeed for any other project – where cost, time and quality are important factors!

As these products are thin coat applications, they significantly reduce the dead weight to buildings – 10mm of Sprayplaster™ will weigh approximately 18 kg/m² while a traditional plaster, applied at the typical minimum thickness of 15mm, will weigh approximately 33 kg/m². A weight reduction of 45%!

Terraco Sprayplaster™ can be used on all types of concrete surfaces, aerated light-weight concrete elements and blocks, sand cement render, fair-face concrete block walls, fair-faced and concrete block soffits and more. The system is suitable for both precast and conventional buildings and is easy to apply and does not require highly skilled labour for application.

As an interior plastering system for internal walls and ceilings, it is traditionally applied as a skim coat not as a plaster.

SPRAYPLASTER SYSTEMS FOR CEILINGS

Concrete Ceiling

  • Step 1. Prepare the surface for application.
  • Step 2. Apply 1 coat Terraco Sprayplaster BC at joints.
  • Step 3. Level with steel edge spatula.

If texture is required:

Spray apply 1 coat of Terraco Sprayplaster FC to the required texture.

Hourdy Ceiling

  1. Apply 1 coat Terraco Sprayplaster BC to the blocks.
  2. Apply 1 coat Terraco Sprayplaster BC to the entire ceiling and level smooth.
  3. Apply 2 coats Terraco Sprayplaster FC and level with steel edge spatula and if texture is required:
  4. Spray apply 1 coat of Terraco Sprayplaster FC to the required texture.

Precast Ceiling

  1. Apply 1 coat Terraco Sprayplaster BC at joints and embed fibreglass mesh.
  2. Apply 2 coats Terraco Sprayplaster FC and level with steel edge spatula.
  3. If texture is required: Spray apply 1 coat of Terraco Sprayplaster FC to the required texture.

SPRAYPLASTER SYSTEMS FOR INTERNAL WALLS

SYSTEM SURFACE INTERNAL WALL SYSTEMS
READY-MIX Sprayplaster BC & Sprayplaster CM Block Wall
  1. Fix micro angle beads & fibreglass mesh where necessary.
  2. Fix spot guides to achieve a level surface.
  3. Pre-wet the surface prior to application.
  4. Spray apply Sprayplaster BC & CM mix (mixing ratio 1:1) up to a maximum thickness of 15 mm per coat and level smooth using levelling board.
Concrete Wall
  1. Fix micro angle beads & fibreglass mesh where necessary.
  2. Fix spot guides to achieve a level surface.
  3. Apply 1 coat Terrabond SP Primer.
  4. Spray apply Sprayplaster BC & CM mix (mixing ratio 1:1) and level smooth using levelling board.
  5. Allow to dry overnight.
  6. Cure for 48–72 hours using mist spray of water.
  7. Apply 2 coats of Sprayplaster FC and level using steel edged spatula.
DRY-POWDER Sprayplaster DP Block Wall
  1. Fix micro angle beads & fibreglass mesh where necessary.
  2. Fix spot guides to achieve a level surface.
  3. Pre-wet surface prior to application. For Aerated Autoclaved Concrete (AAC) apply 1 coat Terrabond A Primer diluted (1:5 water) and allow to dry overnight.
  4. Spray apply Sprayplaster DP mix (mixing ratio 5:1 water) to the required thickness and level smooth using levelling board. Generally a thickness of 8 mm–20 mm per coat.
  5. For application thickness in excess of 20 mm, 2 coats of Sprayplaster DP must be applied, first coat 15 mm and scratch the surface to provide key for second coat. The total thickness should not exceed 30 mm.
  6. Allow to dry for 24 hours.
  7. Cure for 48–72 hours using mist spray.
  8. Apply 2 coats of Sprayplaster FC and level using steel edged spatula.
Concrete Wall
  1. Fix micro angle beads & fibreglass mesh where necessary.
  2. Fix spot guides to achieve a level surface.
  3. Apply a rush coat of Terraco Keybond and allow to dry overnight.
Allow to dry for 24 hours.
