Terramix SB500 is a joint and leveling compound designed for sheathing boards. It is easy to use by just adding water. Terramix SB500 is suitable for applications on sheathing boards and on concrete and masonry substrates.
It shows excellent adhesion between substrate and sheathing boards when used as an adhesive, it maintains permanent adhesion.

Areas Of Use

Areas of use :

• As a jointing compound for sheathing boards
• As an adhesive for sheathing board fixing to substrate.
• As an adhesive to bond architectural foam shapes to masonry surfaces.
• For finishing panel joints, corner bead, trim, and fasteners patching as well as leveling.
• Skim coat for one-coat/two-coat stucco systems, cementitious and masonry surfaces and masonry blocks prior to application of final coating

• External Grade Gypsum boards

Application Method

Surface Preparation 

Ensure that the sheathing boards are sound, clean, and rigidly fixed. Remove all dust, dirt and foreign
matter from surface and joints. Any cracked or chipped boards should be replaced or properly repaired.

It is recommended to follow the board manufacturer’s guidelines on board fixing.

Priming

Prime the entire board surface and joint areas with Terraco primer & bonding agent.

Application 

• Joint treatment with Terraco Acrylic Joint Filler
• Apply Terraco Cementitious Sheathing Compound  and embed Terraco Joint Tape over the board joint area.
• Level and skim the entire board with Terraco Cementitious Sheathing Compound and embed Terraco Fiberglass Mesh.
• Finish by applying Terraco Primer and the desired Terraco Texture Coating as per the required finish.
