Vapogard AC110

Vapogard AC 110 is pure acrylic water based and general-purpose
anticarbonation coating. It is suitable for application on exterior and interior
surfaces such as concrete, plywood, anti-rust primed steel, etc.

Product Overview

Vapogard AC 110 protects concrete from carbonation and provides protection to
substrate against UV rays. Vapogard AC 110 is available in a selected
exterior range of colours and is applied by brush, roller, airless or conventional spray.

Properties

Vapogard AC110 contains materials which provide excellent weather and pollution-resistant properties, as well as precisely graded special fillers to ensure the coated surface always maintains its original decorative beauty. Vapogard AC110 has a matt finish when dry.

Areas Of Use

Vapogard AC110 is used on new or old surfaces of concrete, brickwork, plasterwork, plywood, galvanized steel, and anti-rust primed steel. It is suitable for housing developments, industrial and commercial complexes, facades, girders and roof trusses, site cabins, etc. It is widely used as anti carbonation coating for basement car park walls and ceilings.

Application Method

Surface Preparation

New Surfaces
  • Remove all dust, dirt, loose particles, and foreign matter.
  • Ensure surfaces are free from salts, oil, grease, and surface irregularities.
  • Protect adjacent areas that are not to be coated.
  • Repair cracks, chips, voids, and damaged areas using Terraco Styroskim Putty, Handycoat Interior Stucco Putty, or Handycoat Exterior as appropriate.
Existing Surfaces
  • Ensure the substrate is sound and firmly bonded.
  • Wash surfaces with a suitable cleaning solution, rinse thoroughly, and allow to dry before carrying out repairs or applying primer.

Priming

Dusty, porous, or chalking surfaces should be primed with Terraco Penetrating Primer Clear or Terrabond-A diluted 1:5 with clean water.

Application

  • Very porous surfaces may require a diluted first coat.
  • Apply Vapogard AC110 by brush, roller, airless spray, or conventional spray equipment.
  • Apply 2–3 coats, allowing 2–4 hours drying time between coats.
  • Maintain continuous application to avoid visible dry edges and colour variations.

Cleaning of Tools

Clean all tools and equipment with water immediately after use.
