Product Overview

Vapogard Tex 330 protects concrete from carbonation (anti-carbonation coating) and provides outstanding protection to substrate against destructive effect of UV rays. It provides an attractive textured finish with excellent crack bridging properties to cover and hide minor imperfections in the surface. Vapogard Tex 330 is available in selected exterior range of colours with eggshell matt finish and is applied by brush, roller, airless or conventional spray.

Areas Of Use

Vapogard Tex 330 is used on new or old surfaces of concrete, brickwork, plasterwork, plywood, galvanized steel, and anti-rust primed steel. It is suitable for housing developments, industrial and commercial complexes, walking bridge facades, girders and roof trusses, site cabins, etc. It is widely used as an anti-carbonation coating for basement carpark walls and ceilings.

Application Method

Surface Preparation

New Surfaces

• Ensure all dust, dirt, loose particles, and foreign matter are removed by scraping and brushing.
• Surfaces must be clean and free from salts, oil, grease, and surface irregularities.
• Protect all adjacent areas that are not intended to be coated.
• Repair all cracks, chips, voids, and damaged areas using Terraco Styroskim Putty or Handycoat Interior Stucco Putty for interior applications, and Terraco Styroskim Putty or Handycoat Exterior for exterior applications.
• Prime the surface with Terrabond A diluted at a ratio of 1 part Terrabond A to 5 parts clean water.

Existing Surfaces

• Ensure the substrate is sound, firm, and free from loose material.
• Clean the surface thoroughly using a sugar soap solution, rinse with clean water, and allow it to dry completely.
• Carry out any necessary repairs before priming.
• Prime dusty or chalking surfaces with Terraco Penetrating Primer Clear or Terrabond A diluted at a ratio of 1 part Terrabond A to 5 parts clean water.

Application

• Highly porous substrates may require a sealing coat diluted with up to 5% clean water.
• Apply the coating by brush, roller, or spray in 2–3 coats.
• Allow 2–4 hours drying time between coats under normal conditions.
• Apply continuously to maintain a wet edge and avoid visible overlaps or dry edges.

Cleaning

• Clean all tools and equipment with water immediately after use.
